Amarnath Yatra – A Walk Towards Heaven
Amarnath Yatra for this year is due on 29th of June instead of 15th June, which will begin on Jaishth Purnima and will end on Shravan Purima that is Raksha Bandhan. The reduction of the days in the Amarnath Yatra is only for the safety of the of the pilgrims that throng in the yatra and also the climatic conditions do matter, so for this the decision was being
taken by the board of Shri Amarnath Shrine. Now you can have a quick glance at some facts of the Amarnath Yatra, this yatra to the holy cave of Baba Amarnath is a trek bearing the height of 14,500 feet, you can enjoy this yatra with great joy and thrill.

Even though th epilgrims climb in great height, their enthusiam is not reduced either they feel more energetic as the distance passes in more and they feel divinity in the atmosphere. It is a belief of the pilgrims that after attending this Amarnath Yatra they will achieve ‘Moksha’ after death. They also have a belief that A journey which will rediscover the nature and its love which is always inside but one has never felt. After reaching this divine destination there are prayers conducted before the Shivalinga, the best part of these prayers are that they are carried on in the midst of stunning mountains, beautiful valleys you can here feel the presence of Lord Shiva on the earth’s paradise.

Though here the climatic conditions are very uncertain the number of the pilgrims visiting this place is not reduced, sometimes the pilgrims here also experience rains and snowfall anytime during the Amarnath yatra, but still they keep going up with the same enthusiam. Pilgrims here are always advised to carry a rain coat, woollen clothes, small umbrella, walking stick, personal medical kits, dry fruits for avoiding climatic changes.
