The sights here are very interesting and the beautiful Buddhist caves here are an intrigue to all. I love going to Mandwa just because it is a very serene and tranquil place. There is a church here which is another nice place to visit. Then there is a temple and also a synagogue to visit. Come here and feel enthralled by the beautiful surroundings and the lovely pleasures of being in an ancient land of pleasure and relaxation.

How to reach

Mandwa is easily approachable from Mumbai which is around 136 kms. The nearest railhead is Panvel which is around 85 km from, here and is on the Konkan Railway.

The nearest airport is the Mumbai Domestic and International Airport. Mandwa is also reachable by road as the State Transport Buses ply from Alibag to Mumbai and from Rewas to Kihim too.

Mandwa is also reachable by sea with Rewas as the nearest port. This is approximately 6 kms from Kihim. There are regular ferry services between Mumbai to Rewas.

I love coming here in this land of excitement and enchantment, and enjoy the pleasures of being in the twin beaches of Mandwa and Kihim. Lying to the northern side of the region of Alibag which is at a distance of around 18 km.  The Mandwa beach is isolated and is a lovely spot to be in. The picturesque surroundings here are the major attractions and the bright sunny ambience is the perfect treat for the camera. A very fascinating sea beach which is the best sea side destination in this part of Maharashtra.

Another lovely destination in this part of India is the Kihim beach which is another beach locale that is very attractive to all coming to Mandwa. The isolated locale and the tranquil ambience here is what attract tourists to bask in the pleasures of the beach. The lovely flowers and the beautifully attractive rare butterflies that are found here along with the lovely sight of the birds make this an absolute heaven for the nature lovers.

The Kolaba fort is another attraction which is a great trip down the history lane. Alibag is another fascinating beach locale which is visited by the tourists here. The Headquarters of the Raigad district, this was initially known as Shirbag. With a pleasant seaside this is a beautiful beach locale. With the calm waves as we sat there watching the birds go about t doing their daily job, we enjoyed the pleasures of being in the Mandwa beach.
