Bhivpuri Waterfalls – A Bedecked Cascade Near Neral
Monsoon have started bang on and now we are about to plan our second monsoon trip to “Bhivpuri Waterfalls”. In monsoons what can you enjoy more than waterfalls? This time we were accompanied by Sachin, Nitin and Chetan and we all Aksu, Mamata, Varsha, Shraddha, Elluu, Deepa and me. Now the fun would be double with all. Bhivpuri is the next station to Neral, so it was convienent that we go by train, as it was less time consuming too. Now we decided to go to Bhivpuri Waterfalls on a weekend so that we get a day to rest after coming back from the picnic, so Saturday got fixed for picnic, we all were about to meet by 7 am on Thane station, as starting off early would give us more time to enjoy and we can even be back home on time.

Now mine entire week is passing thinking about the when is Saturday going to come basically I was waiting for the day when I could be at Bhivpuri Waterfalls. On Friday morning the countdown has begun and we were texting each other of how much time is left for us to enjoy on our second monsoon picnic. Finally the big day arrived it was Saturday morning and I was getting ready to leave home, I left home at 6 am, so that I can reach Thane station on time. After getting into the train I started getting calls the first call was from NJ that is Nitin just inquiring about whether I left home on time, so that I won’t be late. After an hour I was at Thane station, even everyone was time, Sachin and NJ took tickets and we went off to the platform from where we would board the train. Our train was 10 minutes as it was raining heavily and how could it be possible that trains will be on time, after waiting for 15 minutes finally the train arrived, getting into the train there was more one and half hour to reach our destination. As our journey started we all started chit chatting as we all were together after such a long time, our prime discussion was about Sachin and Aksu’s marriage.
As the train was moving ahead even our fun was on its height, Varsha had started off with her photo session, she is very fond of clicking photos where she can and she was enjoying doing that, Sachin and Aksu busy in their romance as the climate out was may be forcing to do so. The entire train journey went chit chatting, clicking photos,
then we saw that we passed Neral and so we got ready to get down at the next station, getting down on the Bhivpuri station Varsha and Mamata started clicking photos beneath the written board of Bhivpuri, I didnt get why were they doing so, Shraddha was enjoying asking them to pose and click on those poses, then we understood that they wanted to show the Bhivpuri station board in their photo, even we all joined the frame, the local people on the station were laughing on us, as if we were entertainment for them, though we were behaving like same, but who cares now we are on picnic and we can do whatever we can do to refresh ourselves. Completing with all this we got out of the station and took auto to reach Bhivpuri Waterfalls, it takes half an hour from the station to reach the waterfall. The area surrounding the Bhivpuri Waterfall was a remote area, with no much public around, as it was not so crowded this was an add on point of these place, as its conserves nature, reaching near to the waterfalls, the scenic beauty was getting more and more stunning and interesting, the auto does not goes till the waterfall we have to climb for 10 minutes to reach the waterfall. So getting down from the auto, wherever my eye sight could reach I could only see greenery all around. Now climbing up was not a big deal for me with this greenery around, while walking upwards we fell down many times as the ground was very slippery, but all were enjoying to the fullest.
The scene to the mesmerizing Bhivpuri Waterfall so was stunning that words are not enough, with greenery around, cold breeze blowing in, rains, I even the sound of the
wind was audible to hears, climbing towards the waterfall I was actually feeling the rains, never till date I had felt this before, this was the first time after leaving in Mumbai for so many years. People say that you cannot enjoy rains in Mumbai, who says these just being at home how can you enjoy rain you will have to venture out to such beautiful places fro that, this was the moment when I was feeling like telling everyone that you can also experience “heaven in Mumbai”, suddenly NJ interrupted all my thoughts by saying, ‘what are you thinking in so deep and why are you walking alone, away from all of us?’, as he was very right, the area of Bhivpuri Waterfall is not too much crowded, so it is always advisable to visit this place in groups just for safety.
I didn’t even know when 10 minutes passed away and we were at the waterfall, awwww….this is really very awesome Aksu shouted. Now even Varsha rather than clicking photos was watching at the waterfalls. That was so beautiful, stunning, eye-soothing, mind blowing, there is no such adjective that can explain the scene, and it is still stuck up in my eyes. We all jumped into the water as the rocks through which we were passing was slippery we had to take care while going further. The sound of the water falling off from the hills was so loud that we couldn’t even hear what we all were saying to each oth
er, the climate there was too cold I was shivering very badly, though was in water for a long time as I could not again experience this beauty. It was 2 pm and we didn’t even realize the time, we hadn’t even done with lunch, Sachin was screaming on us to come out of water as the rains had started increasing and we were about to leave to have lunch, there was a small local Dhaba near the waterfall, we went there for having lunch, as the climate was too cold we all were shivering in that cold so decided that after lunch we won’t get into water. So things gone as per we planned to, just sitting on the edge near the waterfall I was enjoying the nature.
It was 4 pm an we left from Bhivpuri Waterfalls back to our homes, the return journey was very quiet but everybody had a smile on their tiring faces. At 6 pm we were all at where we started our journey from that is Thane Station, reaching here we spoke for sometime then everyone got dispersed to ones desired destinations, after an hour I was at my home lying on my ed thinking about the wonderful monsoon picnic of Bhivpuri Waterfalls.
