Chandrashila Summit Trekking and Travel Pleasures

Tours to this part of the Indian subcontinent start from Haridwar and you will reach a place called Ukhimath. This is the farthest side of the River Mandakini Valley and is the place where the Kedarnath shrine is located. And from here you would reach Deoriatal. I remember that when we had gone on a trek tour here we were simply mesmerized by the whole ambience, and it was the sheer altitude and the related beauty around that made us completely enchanted with the entire experience. From Deoriatal we went to a place called Sari. This is  village which is around 3 kms from Deoriatal and is reached by foot. So one can drive to Chopta through the forests here and where you would get the sight of the loveliest meadows.

Chopta is around 30 kms by drive from Sari village and is takes three quarters of an hour to reach. When we reached Chopta we set out tents to stay overnight and after some relaxation we explored the lovely vies of the Himalayas. The grasslands here seem blessed by the most fascinating blessings of Mother Nature. The forest in and around the place are ideal for relaxation.

After breakfast we trekked up to Tungnath and enjoyed the sheer bliss of being in Tungnath temple which is a paradise on earth. After we traversed the Tungnath region we relaxed and proceeded on our ascent which terminated at the Chandrashila peak. The view of the absolutely snow clad peaks and the lovely gorges make one enjoy the natural heaven in this part of the world.

As we pass this region, we come across luscious green lawns and beautiful meadows and it is very impressive to live in this land of natural ambience pleasant surroundings and the most mesmerizing locales. This is one experience that no one would forget ever. This is the land of absolutely enchanting locales and enthralling sights and one has to see to believe it.

As we trek up the Chandrashila hill and then come back the way back to Chopta is one that is filled with the Garhwal adventurous spirits. Truly this is called the “Switzerland of the Garhwal Himalayas” and if you are lucky you would also get to see the sights of musk deer and the very popular Kakar and brown fox.
