Chokhi Dhani Rajasthan Attractions

In the land of sand dunes and vast desert stretches, amidst the beauty of the brown sand lies travel pleasures which you would never have dreamt of. With all this in tow, we were quite excited that our company had planned a getaway experience in this lovely locale of Rajasthan, so it was a greatly excited and enthusiastic team that left our office for this unique experience.

A brainchild of Mr.Gul Vaswani who is a non resident Indian based in Dubai this exotic holiday experience is spread over more than four Indian cities. This is a way he could recreate the Rajasthan culture in every place where the tourist would love to come and relax and experience this one stop getaway pleasure. He was helped by Mr. Subash Vaswani who helped to instrumentalise the whole thing.

Capturing the energy and verve that is so typical of Rajasthan, the Chokhi Dhani experience is one that gives the tourist ultimate ecstasy in terms of different styles of travel experience. Meaning a “fine hamlet” The Chokhi Dhani gave us a choice of deciding what we wanted to do and introduced us to Rajasthan tradition and habits.

It was a wonderful change we had away from the humdrum of city life, in this mud thatched dwelling ambience with the right rustic environment provided to give us a unique feeling of being in a village in Rajasthan.

With more than 59 cottages, 8 Haveli sites, 33 royal cottages , multicuisine restaurants, 4 conference halls and the outdoor barbeque, Chokhi Dhani gives you all reason to be thrilled and joyous as it has the facilities for a discotheque and spa as also puts you amidst the ideal Rajasthan culture.

The Chokhi Dhani Village has a different theme and concept each day and provides an air of festivity always. So as we went into this land of entertainment and pleasure, we were taken in by the way the place had been designed to resemble Rajasthan. The best Rajasthan cuisine, ideal folk dance pleasures, many interesting games, shopping experiences and much more than what we had expected, was awaiting us.

It was easy reaching Chokhi Dhani as we only had to reach Jaipur which could be accessed either by road, rail or bus. Jaipur is the nearest international airport while the city of Jaipur is the nearest station. The NH8 is the ideal road and highway to reach Jaipur from Delhi.

We were received with a lot of pomp and festivity and the entire atmosphere was very colourful and energetic. The quality here is quite commendable so we were treated with the utmost comforts and perfect luxuries.

We went to the Kotri which is the lobby of Chokhi Dhani. The ceiling was made of bamboo nut and the walls were plastered with mud, and had beautiful paintings of Rajasthani culture and Rajasthani murals. The immensely pleasing surroundings with the loveliest rural artifacts rendered the air of being totally inside an active Rajasthani village. We were all quite excited to have chosen this as our travel destination and looked forward to enjoy the richness of this land.

We went to the Bindola Restaurant in the evening where we were given the best cuisine which had varied fare. There was continental, Chinese and Indian cuisine and the families and corporates who were relaxing here surely would have found this attractive. There was a ghazal performance going on and we had a lovely evening with dinner over ghazal.

The next day we went to the Chandni Mahal Bar. This place with its 10,000 mirror sudden ceiling and beautiful lacquer and silver beaded curtains gave a great cultural ambience with a rustic effect. The floors were of green marble and the gilt furniture completed the experience. The Chandni Bar represented Udaipur region to a great extent and the entire experience was cherishable with the soft lights and the reflections of the mirrors crisscrossing the entire place.

Then we went to the Chaupal which is a courtyard. This had tiles on the floor and was a great place where we had our lunch sitting in the open.

After lunch we headed to the recreation room. Here some of us played billiards and carom. There also was a table tennis room which gave us a lot of pleasure and leisure as it took us to the time we were in college. Then there were facilities for Chess too.

Some of us went to Kund which is a place where you can enjoy swimming. My friends went to Tanna Tan the well equipped health club which has steam and sauna baths. There were facilities for massage and gym activities.

My female colleagues enjoyed the parlour arrangements in the nearby salon.

The entire experience was very memorable and enjoyable.
