Damdama Lake – Mesmerizing Beauty Of Gurgaon

Anuradha was getting married and we all got an invitation for her marriage, we were all very excited to attend a Punjabi wedding and that too in Gurgaon, which I heard was a beautiful place to visit. So now we were all getting ready to pack our bags to Gurgaon. We nine people in all including me, we all had taken leave from office for nine days to attend Anuradha’s wedding. As we had less time in our hands we all decided to reach Gurgaon through air, we booked our tickets done with all our formalities and now finally we were all on the airport, waiting for Chandrima as she was stuck up in the traffic and was about to reach in few minutes, so that we would check in together to avoid confusion and hustle and bustle. After getting done with the checking and other formalities we all boarded the flight and now we were all set to fly to Gurgaon, it was merely an hour’s journey. After one and half hour we were on the Indira Gandhi National Airport, this was the airport in the close proximity of the Delhi that was just 10 kilometres and it is very well. Getting out from the airport we took a cab to Gurgaon, as Anuradha had given us her address and we told her that we directly reach here place, we didn’t need any formalities of picking up and all.

Finally we were now at her place, all filled up with guest we now more was the list of us added up, she had a beautiful bungalow, I loved it a lot and all the decoration of the marriage made it more beautiful. We all got fresh up and gathered for lunch, her mom had prepared awesome food that day, with parathas of four different kinds, paneer makhanwala and gulab jam.

Now when we are in Gurgaon and heard about it, why not start exploring it as, the marriage preparation was going to start in three days and we had three days with

us for exploring Gurgaon. You know the most interesting part which I found in Gurgaon is that, this is the only city which has successful electricity connections to all households, isn’t it interesting? This city is also considered to be the best city around the world to live and work. When we started exploring the city we all realized that all head offices of Infosys, Oracle, Airtel, Nokia, Motorola, Ericsson, The Coca-Cola Company and many more are here. This is a beautiful place the guys with us were enjoying the Punjabi chicks and commenting on them. In the evening when we were back home there was a small function of Sangeet at Anuradha’s place where all the family members would gather and sing and dance on Punjabi and other songs, it was just a function to enjoy the wedding. As for us this was the first time to attend a Punjabi wedding this was fun for us too.

While we were getting introduced with all her family members, on of her uncle asked her whether we have visited the Damdama Lake in Gurgaon, I was listening this name for the first time and so was others, and so the next day destination was the Damdama Lake.

We got up at 7.00 am in the morning and got ready to leave, the cab which we booked for three days also arrived, getting in it all waiting for Damdama Lake to arrive. The location of the Damdama Lake is at the distance of 60 kilometres from I.T.O. Delhi. This is also a famous weekend spot in Delhi, with its situation near Arvalli hills. Reaching at the spot we thanked Anuradha’s uncle for suggesting us with such a beautiful place as we didn’t even had an idea about its existence too. This is a very beautiful place in the admist of the nature with many other adventure activities like Valley Crossing, Tarzen Swing, Spider Web, Rock Climbing, and Air Rifle Shooting. Boating is also very famous at Damdama Lake. We wanted to enjoy each and every adventurous activity but couldn’t make up for all so we all clubbed in for Rock Climbing, Spider Web and Valley Crossing. Guys I would to add up that the activities that we opted for were too good, we were really feeling too fresh after getting done with those activities.

As this was a natural lake the aquatic animals that were spotted by us were beautiful in species. In the close proximity of the Damdama Lake there is Water Banks resort, this resort has made arrangement of the great deluxe tents on the lake side which adds on to the stunning look of the Damdama Lake. You won’t find the ambience as great as the Hawai islands but lets not compare this lake with them has this has got its own glory and charm with its serene atmosphere which will surely entertain you as it did us too. After enjoying our day we had to leave and join in for the wedding celebration for which we were here in Gurgaon, we apart from the Damdama Lake one more thing that we enjoyed in Gurgaon was Anuradha’s wedding she was looking like a fairy on her wedding day.
