Waterfalls are the best destinations that you can explore and enjoy, on our trip to Tirupati we had planned that we would also visit the Talakona waterfalls which is just 49 kilometres from Tirupati in Chittor District. This is a beautiful place with stunning nature in its backdrop; this is resort well artistic with dense forests, wildlife and waterfalls. But mainly it is famous for waterfalls in Andhra Pradesh. Surrounded by serene and calm climate this is the best place to plan your holidays. Due to the presence of rich array of flora and fauna, this area in 1989-90 was declared as biosphere reserve. In the forest you can host several species of animals like Indian Giant Squirrel, Slender Loris, Golden Gecko, Porcupine,

Sambar and Chital. Also the endemic species like Cycas bedomeii, Red Sander and also many giant plants. In the forest you can also see medicinal and sandalwood trees. Once you reach the waterfall you can get a splendid view of the stunning deep falling waterfall that flows into the valley rendering a mesmerizing view. The local residents of here say that it is not possible to trace the origin from where the water comes and it is also believed that the water also has healing powers.

Talakona Waterfalls

For the visitors that come here to enjoy there is a long canopy rope of 240 m, which is about 35 to 40 feet in height, for your company on the canopy walk you have birds along with mighty trees and monkeys and there to entertain you during the walk.

Cycas Bedomeii

The canopy walk is just mind blowing you will surely enjoy this place when you visit here with forest and beautiful nature all around. During monsoon you can see the real greenery of this place rather than you being pleased your eyes will be pleased with the lush greenery everywhere. Like the waterfalls in Lonavala, Mumbai, Kerala this place also is the major tourist attraction.
