Often I visit Arunachal Pradesh as most of my assignments are in the north eastern part of India, and so Pasighat tours have become quite a common experience for me. Getting its name from the Pasi who are a tribe in this region, the town is located at a height of around 155 m from the sea level. The climate here is hot and humid and the winters here are quite pleasant. In the months of September to February you would surely get to see the storks, wild ducks, cranes, hornbills, water fowls that add to the avifauna attractions here. This is thus a perfect paradise for a bird lover. Then there are the memorable sights of the wild elephants, deers, and buffaloes. The tiger is not often spotted here and it is only a lucky tourist who gets to see this beautiful animal in full glory here.
