Now when the Ganesh Utsav in in full swing you can see mind blowing Ganesh Idol all over. Specially the Ganesh idols at the Sarvajanik Mandal are worth watching with tremendously done beautiful decorations, which make them at point of attraction for the visitors who come there. On each street you will find Ganesh Pandals having different decorations of their own, you will notice that no decoration done in the Pandals are same as others, they have uniqueness of their own. Some of the pandals also are in the form of historic monuments which gives an elegant look.

It is not that you will only find Ganpati celebrations in Mumbai but you will find the oy of the celebrations all over the different parts of India, like Pune, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and many more. When you talk of Andhra Pradesh here is the tallest Ganesh idol having it’s situate at Khairatabad Ganesh. Each year this idol is the main drawing card of the Hyderabad’s old city. This year too the statue is raised in an extremely elegant way I am very sure that I would be hard for your eyes to belive in the artistic work of the idol done by the craftsman. This year the height of the murti is 52 feet.

The flowers and fruits that are offered to the God is countless, but there at Khairatabad Ganesh is a laddu that is being placed on the hands of the lord as an expenditure of Khairatabad Ganeshapproximately four lakhs, this laddu is made of pure ghee which can last for one month, the other ingredients that were included in the laddu are 150 kilograms of dry fruits, 400 kilograms of Chana Dal, 600 kilograms of sugar and the ghee used was 250 kilograms. The total weight of the laddu is 2,200 kilograms. Tappeswaram got this laddu in a separate vehicle through a procession and reached Hyderabad the day before Ganesh Chaturthi, and here it was handed over to the Khairtabad, Ganesh Utsav Samithi.

in Hyderabad alone are approximately 50,000 in numbers and now you can imagine the count of whole India, and the favor of festivity that we have in our country. It is also said the Khairatabad Ganesh is like the Anantha Padmanabha Swamy in terms of the treasure that is being gathered at Khairatabad.
