Loktak Lake, A True Dream of Floating Lake

Loktat Lake is thronged by tourists at almost all the time in the year, the surrounding of the lake is so unique that you will hardly find any second or similar place in any part of India. The fisherman here cast their nets on the lake, rearing fish farms, these nets are used as floating walls, this harvest of water is called as Heikak. This vast expanse of water including the migrating and resident birds makes Loktak Lake suitable for shooting, boating and fishing. The significant of this lake is that it as the Karang and Thanga are at the midst of the lake. Loktat lake has a boating facilities too which can make your journey complete, while boating around in the water you can see the actual beauty of the lake. In the south side of the lake are world’s floating the Keibul Lamjao National Park, this national park bears a special habitat of rare sangai which are the dancing deers.
