To help devotees there are three companies that are in the race of providing IT solutions to the prestigious Sri Seva Project of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam(TTD). Currently, there are many services that are offered by TTD in that the most significant services are e-seva, e-accommodations, e-hundi and e-sudarshanam. By this the project of the Sri Seva will help in the administration of the offering services such as providing rooms, ‘laddus’ as well as in tonsuring. From the sources of TTD it is said that there are forty eight departments that is needed to be programmed and brought under one roof for bringing out better services for the pilgrims.
For this purpose their
was a shortlist taken out which listed the companies as of the technical bids, the companies are like TCS having its headquarters in Mumbai, Infinite Computer Solutions and Wipro head office of Bangalore. They are not stopping here; their next focus is on the financial bids, as the project will be under implementation by this December. This was the information that was available from the sources. It is said by the TTD that once the project of technical bid gets over in 10 days they will go ahead with the financial bids. The cost estimation of the project is Rs. 30Cr to Rs. 35Cr, it also covers the additional cost of maintenance which is of about Rs. 12 Cr in the first phase every year.
The growth of the pilgrims visiting Tirupati Temple of Andhra Pradesh is increasing day by day and this as a result is putting enormous pressure on the systems, most of these systems are based on manual operations. According to the TTD’s count every year approximately 50,000 pilgrims visit the Tirupati temple and during festivals and holidays the number goes up to one lakh. To avoid several rumors of black marketing of allied services, accommodations and darshan tickets, the TTD as appointed an international consulting firm called Ernst and Young for the upgradation of IT systems and IT eco-system. After successful completion of the first phase the TTD will crawl on to the second phase which will cover the back-end process and provide solutions of the Devasthanam.
