Silent Valley National Park

Sitting for lunch in the cafe our team members were planning of a camp, all kind of permissions were taken off from our higher official, this was gonna be a team bonding kinda trip for five to six days, till here every thing was decided, the only thing that was left out was the destination to which we will go for an outing. All were interested to go to a place which is in the admist of the nature, where we can enjoy the nature and also have fun. All were slogging hard to get a place in the midst of nature; I had never seen those guys before slogging so much for something, this time they were showing determination for their new work that they took in their hands. Calling up people searching on internet all were engaged in that.

Finally, Rudreshwar found out a place called Silent Valley National Park in the Nilgiri Hills of Kerala. After listening about Kerala, all were enchanted as Kerala is a beautiful place to explore in monsoon; we all went through the images, everyone agreed upon the place. Now we were planning how to go about the plan, we were in all fifteen people going out for a picnic, we booked a mini bus, which accumulated about twenty people; we had planned a picnic for four days. I was too excited by the way we were planning I was just waiting for the day when I would take off my bag and get into the bus and drive to Kerala. It was Friday night when we were about to leave for your journey to Silent Valley National Park, we had planned to start our travel at night so that we won’t waste our day and would also skip from the exertion.

The time when we reached Kerala, we only found greenery everywhere and nothing else all were enchanted by the beauty of Kerala; there was just one thing in mind that was going on that we had landed up on the right place. The day when we reached Kerala we took rest after going through a long journey. After taking rest for a night the next morning we were all fresh to get on to jump on to Silent Valley National Park, this is a place in the having the location in the Niligiri hills in the Palakkad District of Kerala. This place as its association with the Hindu Legend, this was a place that was being explored by the Robert Wight the botanist in 1847. This place is the Bio geographically; Silent Valley and the contiguous forests in  Western Ghats symbolizes “ecological islands” in that it is probable to scrutinize the situation that persisted before alterations set in, in tropical forests of the Indian peninsular. Though the permanence of these environmental islands is rapid deteriorating, these conservation products pioneer an imperative feature in the bio environmental fruition, viz. segregation generally due to corporeal hurdles as a outcome of  gap of Palakkad. Isolation, thus, had the result to preserve the relict lettering of Silent Valley’s flora and fauna. Through some guides that in the Silent Valley National Park we came to known that these had thousand species of flowering plants, orchids of hundred and seven types, hundred ferns and fern allies, two hundred  liverworts, seventy five lichens and approximately two hundred algae. The most important thing was that this place had about two hundred and eleven types of birds listening to all these we were all shocked as the number was growing as we were moving ahead, the animals, mammals here all here was very stunning, we were just trying to capture the beauty of the place. We had spent a beautiful day here, the thing that we didn’t realize when the day passed off and it was our time to leave. After leaving we went straight to our hotel where we all enjoyed camp fire that night as it wasn’t raining that day.

The following day we went around the local places to interest in nearby places we had lots of fun, on our return journey all very feeling fresh and ready to join office and start working in fresh mood. I can tell you guys that this was the best place to spend time in the midst of the nature.
